'I Don’t Want To Die': Flydubai Passenger Recounts Saving Stabbed Pilot

Georgian-Israeli dentist Shota Musayev told RFE/RL that he feared he might not survive when he left his wife’s side to help after the lead pilot was allegedly stabbed by his co-pilot during a Flydubai flight from Dubai to Israel on September 30. Musayev helped treat the badly wounded captain and urged the crew to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia, saying the pilot repeatedly told him: "I don’t want to die here." Israeli officials say the co-pilot attempted to seize control of the aircraft and crash it during the flight and are investigating whether the incident was an attempted terrorist attack.
