Afghans dug through the debris of collapsed homes on November 3 in the wake of a 6.3 earthquake that struck the country's north, killing at least 20 people. Areas around the city of Mazar-e Sharif were badly damaged, including the city's historic Blue Mosque, with hundreds injured. Authorities said the death toll is likely to rise in the Balkh and Samangan provinces.
