Ukraine Receives $1.6 Billion Tranche Of Macro-Financial Assistance From EU

The European Union on November 22 released a new 1.5 billion euro ($1.64 billion) tranche of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced on X, formerly known as Twitter. "Europe's funding has supported Ukraine's economic stability and public services since the start of Russia’s war. Today we disburse a new 1.5 billion euros. Our support to Ukraine has now reached 85 billion euros," Von der Leyen wrote, adding that more money will come. "We have proposed 50 billion euros for Ukraine until 2027," she wrote.
