Ukraine's president has put sanctions into effect on 190 new individuals and 290 legal entities as part of its ongoing effort to punish Russia and its perceived enablers in the current war. The new targets include Georgian Airways and its chairman which resumed flights to Russian destinations in May in a snub to Western leaders pressing Tbilisi to join EU and other efforts to punish Moscow for its 16-month invasion of Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy also targeted Russian scientific and aerospace officials, as well as companies from Belarus and Kazakhstan.
